This is the list of notifications we may send via EPP that you will need to collect by periodic use of the poll command:
- Abuse notification. This notification is sent when we receive notice that a domain name on your tag is suspected of being involved in phishing. This is an opt in service.
- Accepted referrals. This is where a request for a .ltd.uk, .plc.uk, .net.uk or .sch.uk domain name has been processed manually and the domain name has been accepted. This message will be generated when the original request has been received via EPP rather than the automaton.
- Rejected referrals. This is where a request for a .ltd.uk, .plc.uk, .net.uk or .sch.uk domain name has been processed manually and the domain name has been rejected. This message will be generated when the original request has been received via EPP rather than the automaton.
- Registrar change notification. This is generated when a domain name is transferred to a tag that has opted to receive these messages via EPP rather than the automaton.
- Account details change notification. This is generated when the details of an account sponsored by the tag are changed.
- Registrant transfer notification. This is generated when a domain name is associated with a different account object during a transfer. This would not be generated when a new account object is generated during tag-changes or during account merging operations.
- Domain cancelled notification. This is generated when a domain name is cancelled either by the registrant or by Nominet's systems
- Registrar change handshake request. This is generated when a registrar has elected to receive registrar change handshakes and a request is received to move a domain name to their tag.
- Registrar change handshake rejected request. This is generated when a registrar requests a registrar change to a registrar who has elected to receive a registrar change change handshake and they decline the change.
- Poor quality data. This is generated by Nominet systems when account address data is shown to be outdated or of poor quality.
- Hosts cancelled notification. This is generated when hosts are cancelled, identifying the hosts and the domain names that they were previously linked to.
The details of these messages are described in more detail in the individual sections linked above.
Please note that version 2.0 of the nom-
schemas are required for notifications.
